Yes. We are all being blindsided by the 'changes' on Facebook. But, guess what? This hasn't just 'pissed people off', it has educated people on what, exactly, a social network is all about.
It's all about the Benjamins... or rather, the Woodrow Wilson's?
The biggest blow-back is the cry of 'Hey, you get this for FREE!'
Do you? Do you really??
In fact, the Facebook enterprise has made at least $2 BILLION in 2010 on what YOU get for free... have you sold your soul? Maybe... Have you sold your persona?? Most definitely!
You see, everything you 'LIKE' and every post you share becomes an algorithm ... a way to track you... and target you.
Paranoid? Nah. Smarter? Yeah. Most definitely.. yes, indeed.
Where do we go from here? Well.. as we see the blow-back of the FB gaffe, could be that some of us would be willing to pay for a truly secure social network. With no thought from the creators of 'ultimate power' and Net Worth.
